Is there any possible solution to scroll text in conversation windows with keyboard?
i.e like in terminal with shift+pg up/dn

Also would be nice to have shortcut to open emoticons, like ctrl+e.

+1 for this. There are lots of shortcuts that needs to be done in ConversationUI: changing tab with Ctrl+PagUp/Dn will make a beep, which is annoying; also, some way to retrieve message-history (like in a shell) will be good, especially for slash commands (which you can't copy & paste from chat window)

Beep is related to your desktop manager's settings and for history try ctrl+up/down.

i.e I had to disable beep in CCSM.

I know, that's what I do when is very late at night or so, but I sometimes use the "beep" command to notify me about something (i.e. end of a long command)
