I wrote a plugin that makes /away and /back commands to set Away and Online status while chatting.

Yes it should work for any status... should I make it for any status type including it in Commands.py? Is better Away.py apart?

Commands.py is in emesene trunk, so you should ask to the main devs. At the moment, I think a separate plugin would be better. Even integration with custom status will be good...
