I'd like to know if there is a Debian package for emesene crazy? Because I tried the ubuntu packet but it doesn't work (debian has python 2.5 and this one requires 2.6)

You could try the source.

That's the one I use, anyway. Or you could just install python2.6

Maybe I can write here instead of adding a new post:

1) Since some revision (usin' emesene - 1.4+r1375~ppa1 now), at most 3 or 2, emesene create folder 'uploads' in home:

what do I make with this? and, therefore...I use, like and love 'desktop_is_home_dir' (try it, you'll never go back!) and I do not want this empty useless folder in my desktop. Please remove it until 1 it have a goal or 2 it's possible to choose another place for it.

2) this is quite a bug report: i find webcam settings in preferences and mine works (WOW)! Oh, this is mine:

ID 041e:4053 Creative Technology, Ltd Live! Cam Video IM

..works but do not save preferences: I have to 'Select webcam you want to use...' each time I run emesene.

1. preferences - file transfers, you can set the directory you prefer
2. all gstreamer-supported webcam (all linux-supported) work, and it's saved in preferences..it's just we don't select the one you chosed before when showing that tab...yet

But what should i do with 'uploads' folder?
I know about file transfers, i want file downloaded by emesene go to /home/matteo, and it is. But file I want to send are placed whatever they are in the whole fs...   In facts in preferences there's just 'save file to', and not upload file from...which would be a non sense settings!

I think that he would mean:
When you open the "file selection dialog" you can choose the starting dir for the component!

in italian:
Puoi scegliere la directory di partenza del dialog INVIA FILE!

YES, it is the Web Sender plugin that create 'uploads' folder in home. I disabled it and there's no more.

1 - When someone adds me, and I click reject the emesene returns the error:

The user can not be removed Details: This function requires ContactId.

Then when I login the emesene, it appears again the same messages of warning.

2- Another problem is the messages I send offline.
When I try to send a message offline, it asks if I want to send this message offline. I say yes.

Then appears the error message:

Can not connect (the user is off) and connect again.

The problem is that we must always click on that link back to the customer who is receiving offline messages.

4 - Another thing, when you click the icon of the email, then your browser does not automatically login.

5 - Finally, I send my webcam, but I can not get the webcam of the new windows live messenger.
