Congratulations! and thanks!  Roll Eyes

My joy is double, when finding out me that finally they added libmimmic to rpmfusion!!!
* http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/updates/testing/11/i386/repoview/libmimic.html (Now in testing)

To use webcam in fedora, before we had to compile it... Now, they only must enable the repo free-testing of Rpm-fusion and install libmimic and already we have webcam!!  Cheesy Wink

If it has bindings to Python then it's good news, otherwise it's bad news Wink

Now for a brief amount of time packages will be made in RPM, DEB formats along with Windows version.

Expect PPA soon, this time it will be more synced with the SVN than ever, so some features are to be quarantined for sanity's sake...

.: emesene leet team :.

For emesene PPA add ppa:bjfs/ppa to your system's Software Sources or manually add:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/bjfs/ppa/ubuntu lucid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/bjfs/ppa/ubuntu lucid main

Into /etc/apt/sources.list and you can try emesene2, too!

Arr! There is no emesene in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_instant_messaging_clients#Features (although it's in other tables). Somebody fix it for the lulz Roll Eyes

And it says that the last stable version is 1.0.1, yeah.

Program page looks better, though:

yes you can rebuild his source packages for hardy and you're done (launchpad does it automagically)

with errors? because either:
your connection sucks
your buddy connection sucks
wlm servers doesn't tell they close the socket

enabling keepalive in the third case solves the problem but consumes bandwidth

Hi everyone, first post from me, I am Babis from Greece!
I love emesene, and I want to install the new version 1.5 on my Ubuntu Jaunty Jancalope pc.
Sould I use the PPA from bjfs (https://launchpad.net/~bjfs/+archive/ppa) , or should I wait for a .deb in a few days?
Thank you, and keep up the good work!

Use the ppa.It is well maintained, so you'll "always" (at least as long as the bjfs continues working on it) get the latest version.Keep in mind that probably  a new version 1.6 will be released, so it's better to use the repo instead of a .deb and get it automatically.
